Classroom Policies and Procedures
2008 - 2009

Assignments

• In all subject, answers should be written in complete sentences. In math, all work must be shown.
• If absent, 2 days for every missed day to complete work. After that time has passed zeros will be issued.
• For family vacation time, students must take responsibility to inform teachers and collect assignments prior to leaving on their vacation. This must be done at least one week prior to your departure. All work will be due the day the student returns to school - NO EXCEPTIONS.
  

Tests and Quizzes

• All tests and quizzes need to be  signed and returned within two days. If three quiz or test papers are missing, the teacher will phone the parents. If five papers are not returned, a parent-teacher conference will be scheduled.
• Bonus points will be given for signed study guides. Math Only: In math, a note written by a parent stating that he/she is aware of a test on that specific date is sufficient.
• A low math quiz may be retaken if the quiz is returned signed by the parent the following day.

Supplies

• Each child needs to have two pencils and a pen.
• All books need to be covered at all times. Detentions will be issued for uncovered books.
• Checks will be issued if a student needs to return to their homeroom for missing materials.
• No hooded sweatshirts may be worn in the school.
