Reminders:

Don't Let Them BUG you.

Avoid the insect world's most wanted!

Bees, hornets, yellow jackets, and wasps

Mosquitoes, fleas, chiggers and ticks.  OH MY!

Don't forget SPIDERS.

Bug bites give most people a minor skin reaction like itching,

redness and site swelling. For some, it can be life threatening!

Tips to avoid a bite or sting is to make yourself unappetizing.

         1.  Never leave out  food or open drinks.

         2.  Do not use colognes, perfumes, scented soaps, or hairsprays.

         3. Apply insect repellent.  ( read and follow all directions for use)

         4.  Dress in pale colors, avoiding all bright or flowery prints.

If you are stung or bit, clean the area with soap and water, and apply ice.

If the stinger is still embedded, DO NOT SQUEEZE!

Scrape the stinger loose with something stiff, like a credit card.

Lice Aren't Nice...

Beware!!!

Back to school means back to head checks.

Please remind your child that lice don't care who you are or how clean your hair is. Watch for white specks on the hair shaft or excessive itching.

If you find signs of infestation, please call your child's
                        pediatrician for  treatment options.
